011-Internet radios are cool

I started listening to a couple webradios recently (tilderadio and anonradio mostly) and I think its pretty cool! I like listening to new music without having to rely on an algorithm.

Before I got an mp3 player I would often listen to the radio (80s music and sometimes classical/jazz station) and idk where I'm going with this. Radio is fun because it just happens now, there's no pausing/rewinding (unless you record it).

I think it would be fun to host my own internet radio where my friends could just connect and listen to music I like loll. The thing is either I go into debt trying to license all the music, or I risk getting into trouble for broadcasting pirated music. Although I do already seed my collection on soulseek so maybe its not that risky. idk how much trouble I can get in, especially since I'm hosting from my home network.

Also my server is a literal (well, no) potato so idk how well it would handle streaming audio to a bunch of ppl... I might try tho ;)
