i think pins are really cool but buying them is annoying, so i made a bunch myself! i might add photos later. the result is ok, but not really sturdy.

a video tutorial would probably be much better lol

what you need

instructions

you need a design thats slightly bigger than the safety pin, and has some extra margin around (4mm ish?). cut 2 shapes from the card paper that are the same size as the design.

then you need to put the safety pin inside one of the card paper shapes, which is a bit complicated but ill try to explain. how i do it is i loosen the loop/spring part of the safety pin, fold the card shape in half and make a hole, then slide the pin through it and tighten the loop again. this isnt clear at all but ill try to attach pictures at some point

now you want to wrap the design around the other card paper shape. it helps to glue it on first, and also to cut the margin at small intervals.

then you can take both halves and glue them toghether, then wrap some tape around both like you did with the design to protect it

then you have to send me a picture of what you did by email at tgum@proton.me (optional)
